So DreamCon is an event they sponsor during ICON 41. In DreamCon, they bring in high school students that are aspiring writers. They set up several panels to talk about various writing elements, like tropes, story world, and character development. They even had one for artist advocacy. I was on the panel when we talked about tropes, advising the students to do their research. I had a FANTASTIC time at the Barnes & Noble in Cedar Rapids Iowa. It was a book signing event before the ICON 41 weekend and it was fantastic. I had some fans from my first time in Iowa come and say hi, and I met a lot of new and exciting authors. Including Steven Gould, who wrote Jumper and it became a movie.
